But with significant private investment in the Centurions, players who have not yet been signed or retained will now have their squads and wages determined through auction.
Teams will consist of 16 to 18 players and will have a salary cap and a salary cap, which is the minimum amount the team must spend.
Wages for the men’s team have increased by 45% to £2.05 million per team in 2026, while funding for the women’s team has increased by 100% to £880,000.
The minimum wage for female players has also risen by 50% to £15,000, while the number of overseas players competing in both competitions has also increased from three to four.
