AUSTIN, Texas — Matas Vokietaitis scored 22 points, Tramon Mark added 21 and Texas suffered its first loss of the season, 80-64, on Wednesday night at No. 10 Vanderbilt.
Dayn Swain had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the Longhorns (11-6, 2-2 Southeastern Conference), who posted consecutive wins over teams ranked in the AP Top 25. And then being beaten – no. 13 Alabama Saturday.

Mark scored 16 points in the second half, including consecutive three-pointers, and Texas led by nine points midway through the half.
With 6:27 left in the game, Chendall Weaver hit a fast-break layup and made two free throws to give Texas a 12-point lead. Mark then made two free throws, extending the lead to 14 points with 5 minutes and 37 seconds left in the game.
Mack averaged 19.8 points per game in SEC play and made 11 of 23 three-pointers. He went 4-for-7 from the field against Vanderbilt.
Duke Miles led Vanderbilt (16-1, 3-1) with 21 points and Tyler Tanner scored 17 points. But Vanderbilt shot only 26.7% in the second half and 36.7% for the whole game.
Vanderbilt is a good three-point shooting team, going 9-for-10 in the second half after going 8-for-15 in the first half.

Texas shot 53% from the field, including 7 of 17 three-pointers.
After a fast-paced first half, the Longhorns led 42-37. Myers made three three-pointers and 14 in the half. Tanner added 10.
The Longhorns shot 55% from the field in the half. With the help of Waukitatis and Swain, they made a total of 7 goals in the paint and scored 18 points in the paint. Waukitatis also made four free throws and scored 12 points in the half. Jordan Pope also scored 12 points.
