Texas A&M reveals first wave of 2026 jersey number changes

New season, new roster, and now – new numbers. As Texas A&M is about to turn the page on 2026, the natural changes in college football have opened the door for a new wave of uniform updates. With several Aggies entering the NFL Draft or exhausting their eligibility, some coveted numbers have emerged, giving returning players a chance to recalibrate in the fall.

Unlike the pros, college programs can double up on numbers as long as players line up on both sides of the ball. That’s why fans saw Tyreek Chappelle and future first-round pick KC Concepcion both wear No. 7 last season. Now, with the pair officially joining the league, that number, along with several others, is back in circulation. As expected, some of the biggest names on the roster were the first to be claimed.
