The Houston Texans will face the Los Angeles Chargers on the road in Week 17. The game between the two AFC rivals will take place on Saturday, December 27th and will be the first of two NFL games today.

The Texans enter second place in the AFC South with a 10-5 record. Houston still needs to lock down a playoff spot and enters this week as the current seventh seed in the AFC. The Texans have an easy way to clinch a playoff spot in Week 17:

win.

Houston could also lock up a spot if the Indianapolis Colts lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars, or through another complication that requires six specific wins over the weekend.

Los Angeles, on the other hand, is already in the playoffs. The Chargers have clinched a playoff spot and are now competing for seeding. Los Angeles can still win the AFC West, but it needs to win this week and hand the Denver Broncos a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs without Patrick Mahomes. More likely, Los Angeles is competing for a wild-card seed, aiming for a No. 5 seed, which would be a road game against the weakest division champ.
