Tennessee basketball down one seed in updated bracketology

Tennessee (12-6, 2-3 SEC) will play its third road game in SEC basketball during the 2025-26 regular season. No. 17 Alabama (13-5, 3-2 SEC) will host the Vols on Saturday at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The game between Tennessee and Alabama is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. ESPN will televise the game. The Vols are unranked in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll for the second straight week.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released updated 2026 NCAA tournament brackets on Friday.

He projects Tennessee to be a No. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament and will face No. 10 seed Ohio State at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore. The winner will face second-seeded Gonzaga or 15th-seeded UT Martin in the second round.

The Final Four is scheduled for April 4-6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
