North Carolina, which surged to No. 11 in the AP poll last week, has dropped five spots to No. 16.
That’s not surprising considering North Carolina lost to Miami in a midweek game on Tuesday. However, the Tar Heels did bounce back with a win over Pitt.
North Carolina is the third-ranked team in the ACC behind Duke (No. 3) and Virginia (No. 14). Another team in the top 25 is the University of Louisville (No. 21). UNC defeated Duke and Virginia earlier this season and will face Louisville on Feb. 23.

Clemson and Miami received votes. Clemson fell out of the top 25 with losses to Virginia Tech and Duke. Clemson (20-6, 10-3 ACC) and Miami (20-5, 9-3 ACC) will both move into the top 25 with wins this week.
The Tar Heels will face North Carolina State in Raleigh on Tuesday before traveling to upstate New York to face Syracuse on Saturday.
