Sunday was a good night for all of the Seattle Seahawks, including Jason Myers.
The Seahawks kicker was busy in Seattle’s game against the New England Patriots, setting several records in the process.

Myers was the only player to break the scoreboard with four field goals throughout the three quarters as the Seahawks led 12-0. Then in the fourth quarter, Meyers kicked his fifth field goal of the game, extending the Sonics’ lead to 22-7.
This set a new Super Bowl record. No other kicker in Super Bowl history has made five field goals in a game.
But Myers didn’t just excel in Sunday’s game. He’s been doing this all season. Sunday’s effort gave him the NFL’s single-season and postseason scoring record.
San Diego Chargers great LaDainian Tomlinson holds the record with 198 points during his landmark 2006 season. Myers scored 189 points in Sunday’s game. After scoring a total of 17 points (five field goals and two extra points) on Sunday night, Myers ended his season with 206 points, setting a record of his own.

The 17 points also set a new Super Bowl record. Before Myers, no kicker had ever scored that high in a Super Bowl.
All in all, it was a great night for the Seahawks and their outstanding kickers, and a great end to an outstanding season.
