Dr. Edmund Stoiber, long-time director of Bayern Munich since 1966, has officially resigned as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
The 84-year-old will be recognized for his contribution to the Bavarian giants during the club’s Honors Match Day at the Allianz Arena on Sunday.

Together with other long-term members, he was appointed Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board and handed over his position to Dieter Reiter.
Stoiber has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1988 and Chairman since 1992. Munich Mayor Reiter has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2017.
Jochen Tschunke and Peter Kerspe also said goodbye yesterday (Friday, February 6). Tschunke has been a member since 1994 and Kerspe since 2018.
Elisabeth Promberger, Dr. Klaus-Peter Röhler, Alexander Sixt and Max Viessmann have been newly appointed to the Board of Directors.
At the same time, Alexandra Schörghuber will continue to serve as Vice President of the Administrative Advisory Board in the future.
