Steve Bannon Warning his fellow conservatives, things are not looking good for Republicans heading into the 2026 midterm elections, based on the average MAGA voter according to polls.
“There’s a huge lack of enthusiasm from the grassroots,” Bannon said Saturday. “Because they’re sitting there saying ‘I’m just not feeling it right now.'”
former presidential advisor Donald Trump sounded the alarm in his latest episode war room Performed on Rumble. Bannon said his concerns were based on more than just anecdotal evidence – pointing to “some of our best pollsters” such as Rich Barris and Mark Mitchell Said the Republican Party was in trouble.
Big Data Poll, a polling firm led by Barris, reported in late January that “Democrats expanded their advantage among those who voted ‘extremely enthusiastic'” to a 53.6 percent to 41.8 percent advantage.
Barris warned Republicans, “If the Republican Party wants to make a comeback, it’s going to have to change quickly.”
Mitchell said last week new york post Trump’s approval ratings dropped as he abandoned programs like DOGE that were popular among his supporters. As a result, his administration seems even more aimless than it did a year ago, he said.
“Rather than doubling down on systemic accountability, the past few months have felt like a lack of focus, sending counter-signals on affordability and jobs, infighting, the Epstein saga, new foreign entanglements, and a governance posture that feels passive rather than intentional,” Mitchell wrote. “Voters are taking note.”
Bannon warned that Democrats were making gains in Texas, leading him and other worried Republicans to turn their attention to the Lone Star State. He said the March 3 primary in Texas will be “one of the largest in the history of the U.S. Senate.”
One main reason? Proposition 10 is a non-binding measure that “bans Sharia law.” The proposal comes just months after the Texas governor announced his vote. Greg Abbott (R) Designates the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations as foreign terrorist organizations, a move that bars both groups from acquiring land in the state.
“Sharia law is on the ballot,” Bannon said. “This is a huge problem in this state and other states that people in power don’t want to solve. We’re going to have to force it.”
