Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler lead Warriors past Bucks, 120-113

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Stephen Curry scored 31 points, added seven assists and seven rebounds on a step-back 3-pointer with 26 seconds left to help the Golden State Warriors beat the Milwaukee Bucks 120-113 on Wednesday night.

De’Anthony Melton, who came off the bench, scored 22 points, and Jimmy Butler scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Al Horford scored 8 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in his best game since joining the Warriors.

Curry made 12 of 21 shots and hit 3 three-pointers. He made his first three-pointer at 4:44 of the first quarter and scored 14 points in the half.

Antetokounmpo’s layup with 4:38 left cut the Bucks’ deficit to 10 points, but Butler responded on the other end.

Antetokounmpo scored 34 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, and Kevin Porter Jr. contributed 15 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds for the Bucks. The Bucks could not withstand the Golden State Warriors’ 3-pointer of 18 and fell behind 53-42 in rebounds.

Milwaukee has won two straight games, four of five, and had two full days off after Sunday’s 115-98 victory over Sacramento.

Draymond Green added 14 points and seven assists as the Golden State Warriors continued their eight-game homestand after taking a 17-point lead in the third quarter.

Ande Okompo hit 3 of his first 4 shots and scored 7 quick points before finishing 15 of 22 from the field and missing 5 of 7 free throws. The Bucks have lost six straight at the Warriors’ home court since a victory in their first season at Chase Center on Jan. 8, 2020.

The two teams split the season series after Milwaukee won 120-110 at home on October 30.
