Spain’s national soccer team to train at Baylor School (TN)

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to take place in North America this summer, men’s national soccer teams around the world are looking for training centers for their respective programs, with Baylor (Tenn.) becoming the latest announced location.

The Spanish national soccer team will bring its club to the Volunteer State, according to an official news release from the Baylor school on Friday. According to a press release, the Spanish national team will use the Red Raiders’ facilities as a training site in preparation for the World Cup, which this year will be played between the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for Baylor and the Chattanooga community,” Baylor Schools Chancellor Chris Angel said via press release. “Baylor has long had a global focus, and we are honored and excited to be selected as the training site for such a prestigious international sporting event. Hosting the Spanish Games puts our school on the world stage and reflects the exceptional quality of our campus, facilities and infrastructure to support elite athletic performance.”
