In this media missed minute, millions of Americans who rely on Social Security are facing mounting delays. Separately, the United States and Nigeria confirmed a joint military operation targeting Islamic State militants in northwestern Nigeria.
Miss Right Media: Social Security for Millions Delayed Due to Backlog
Last February, the Social Security Administration was plunged into what The Washington Post described as “chaos” after the Trump administration laid off thousands of employees.
The agency currently faces about 6 million pending cases and 12 million transactions, and delays could affect about 74 million Americans, the report said.
The layoffs include approximately 7,000 employees. As a result, many claimants now have to wait 3 to 6 months for payment and services.

Miss Media Left: Nigeria confirms U.S.-coordinated airstrike kills ISIS militants
The United States and Nigeria said they were cooperating in airstrikes in Sokoto state as part of an operation targeting Islamic State militant camps.
Officials said intelligence suggested the camps were used to plan attacks. President Trump said in social media posts that the group has been targeting Christians in the region.
Nigerian officials said the late-December attack was aimed at ensuring security in Sokoto and preventing infiltration from the Sahel region.
