The Texas A&M baseball team dominated again with a 10-0 victory over Virginia Tech on Friday night at Globe Life Field in Arlington to improve to 9-0 on the season.
Chris Hacopian’s return to the lineup was warmly welcomed, as the Maryland transfer hit his first home run as an Aggie in his first at-bat. After a solo homer in the first inning, a pitching duel between Texas A&M and Virginia Tech continued throughout the next five innings, but the Maroons and Whites quickly broke things open with an eight-run run in the sixth inning against the Hokies.

Right fielder Terrence Kiel II also had a strong performance, hitting two runs and stealing his fourth base of 2026. Through the first nine games of the season, Keel leads Texas A&M starters in batting average and stolen bases.
Meanwhile, starting pitcher Shane Sdao struck out five batters and allowed just four hits and four balls in the Hokies’ lineup. The lefty hasn’t missed a step in his return from a season-ending injury in 2025, and he continues to impress on the mound.
After back-to-back run wins, the Aggies turned their attention to No. 1 UCLA. Texas A&M is scheduled to face the Bruins in Game 2 of the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT.
