Snowstorm expected this week in Akron. How much snow will we get?

A new round of widespread snow and cold weather is heading toward Akron.

The National Weather Service says a so-called Alberta Clipper will bring snow and cold temperatures to Northeast Ohio Thursday night.

The snow is expected to continue into Friday night.

Unseasonably cold weather will continue into Monday.

Friday is expected to be the hottest day, with snow expected and temperatures around freezing.

The fast-moving storm is expected to cause 1 to 4 inches of height loss, the weather service said.

Typical highs for this time of year are near 35 degrees, with overnight lows in the 20s.

Widespread subzero wind chills are possible Saturday through Monday.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a maximum temperature of nearly 17 degrees.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with the lowest temperature around -1.
