Snow is moving through the area and will cause hazardous driving conditions. Snow will cover roads and reduce visibility. The most impactful snow will fall tonight around 5pm to 11pm, then the most consistent snow will taper off.
Most areas will see 3-6 inches of snow, with the highest amounts south and east of Pittsburgh. Isolated double-digit totals are possible on ridges in eastern Westmoreland and Fayette counties, including ski resorts.
After the snow, wind chills will drop below zero later tonight and could be as cold as -10 degrees Sunday morning. In addition to tonight’s snowfall, there will be lake effect snow showers on Sunday, especially north of Pittsburgh, where more accumulation is expected.
