The Red Devils have been in impressive form since Michael Carrick became manager, winning six of eight league games.

Those wins include wins over Arsenal and Manchester City in consecutive weeks.
Still, despite his chances of becoming the club’s manager improving, the Red Devils are still monitoring a number of options.
They have been linked with managers such as Roberto De Zerbi, Oliver Glasner and Julian Nagelsmann.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe comments
United’s hierarchy have understandably been tight-lipped on who will be their new manager, but with the season coming to an end, they will soon need to start taking steps towards a final decision on who will be their next permanent manager.

Obviously sporting director Jason Wilcox and chief executive Omar Berada will play a big role in the decision, but owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also likely to be involved in discussions.
Sky Sports caught up with the British billionaire at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, China, and asked him to comment on Carrick’s performance so far.
Asked what he thought of Carrick so far, he replied: “He’s done a fantastic job. Yeah, absolutely.”
Still, when pressed on whether Carrick had done enough to get the job permanently, he quickly replied: “Not going there.”
Ratcliffe was then asked to comment on his views on United’s Champions League qualification for next season.

He replied: “Yes, obviously we are looking at it. But there are still seven or eight games to play. It’s still a while.”
United face Aston Villa at Old Trafford tomorrow afternoon and know a win will do wonders for them to qualify for Europe’s top competition next season.
