Silent Hill 2 Remake is Reportedly Coming to PS Plus Game Catalog in October

The latest entry in Konami’s iconic survival horror series, Silent Hill f, was released last month to rave reviews. Just weeks after the game’s release, 2024’s other critically acclaimed Silent Hill title appears to be coming to PlayStation Plus. Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2 will reportedly join the PS Plus game catalog in October, most likely Halloween month.

The information comes from well-known leaker Billbil-kun, who is known for his reliable gaming and gaming hardware scoops. In a report published by Dealabs on Tuesday, a tipster claimed that Silent Hill 2 Remastered will be the flagship game added to the PlayStation Plus game catalog in October. The leaker says that “barring anything unexpected,” the game will be added to the subscription service on October 21st.

The remaster joins another horror game launching on PS Plus this month. Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 launches on October 7 as part of the PS Plus Essential monthly games, alongside indie puzzle games Cocoon and Goat Simulator 3.

Sony has yet to confirm its plans for October’s game catalog. The game catalog is available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members.
