Should the Boston Celtics trade Anfernee Simons for Milwaukee Bucks big man Myles Turner? At first glance, given the thinness of the Celtics’ frontcourt rotation and Simmons’ performance on Boston’s roster so far this season, it doesn’t seem like a good fit, especially given that the former Portland Trail Blazers guard’s massive contract is expiring and the deal will be gone if the Celtics can’t find a way to integrate Simmons or trade him away.
But then there’s the whole second pad and repeat tax situation, and if Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum sign Turner’s big, long contract, it’s going to be hard to fix that to a sustainable level during Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum’s remaining prime years. Is it worth the squeeze?

The folks behind the YouTube channel “NESN” put together a clip from their “Hold My Banner” podcast this week to discuss whether such a move would actually make sense for Boston. Check out the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say!
