Without the likes of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, De’Anthony Melton and Jonathan Kuminga, the Golden State Warriors have nothing to deal with on Friday night against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder at Chase Center.
The Thunder jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never really looked back. In the second quarter, the Warriors went on a 9-0 run, reducing the Thunder’s lead to only 2 points. However, the Thunder quickly responded with a counterattack, scoring 19 points. At halftime, the Thunder led by 19 points and took control of the game.

The Thunder continued to work hard in the second half, extending their lead to 41 points and leading 131-94 on Friday night.
Six different Warriors players scored in double figures against the Thunder. However, no player scored more than 13 points. Moses Moody, Will Richard and Al Horford each scored 13 points Friday.
Pat Spencer led the Warriors with 11 assists. However, in 31 minutes off the bench, he finished the game with a team-high -41.
The Warriors won’t hold back their loss to the Thunder for long. Saturday will be the second leg of a home back-to-back as Lauri Markkanen and the Utah Jazz come to town.
