United are said to be unhappy with Cone being left out of their league squad. What’s more, he had only made a handful of appearances as a substitute before yesterday.
Cone got more playing time yesterday, playing the final 30 minutes of Lausanne’s 2-1 loss to Lugano.
The midfielder completed one key pass during the game and had an impressive pass completion rate of 87%.
He also successfully dribbled the ball once in this game and carried the ball 11 times.
Cone also helped out defensively, making two interceptions and recovering the ball four times in the game.
The youngster will be hoping to get more game time in Sunday afternoon’s league clash with Basel.

Enzo Cana-Buick
Another Manchester United youth player on loan at Lausanne also got the last half hour to prove his worth.
It’s been a poor loan spell so far, as he’s only scored once all season and rarely started for Switzerland.
He had three shots in the game, two of which were blocked and one of which was saved by the goalkeeper.
The forward also completed a key pass and completed his only attempt with the ball. Kana-Bjek also won his only aerial attempt on the field and one of his two ground duels.
