SEC reveals Tennessee Volunteers’ 2026 football schedule

For those Tennessee fans looking to make travel plans for next year, you’re in luck.

The SEC released the 2026 football schedule for all schools on Thursday night, and now Vol fans know who, when and where the Big Orange will play against all opponents.

We learned some tidbits during the non-conference period, specifically that the Vols will travel to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech on Sept. 12, but the Vols will end all non-conference games immediately with a home game against Furman and Kennesaw State on the road against the Yellow Jackets.

The Vols have three home games coming up, including games against Texas State and Auburn. The Longhorns’ status requires explanation, but the Vols will be scouting both of their coordinators with the Tigers in 2021-22. Alex Golesh hired Tim Banks as his new safeties coach on Thursday, so the latter is sure to get some retaliation.

Tennessee gets its only bye on Halloween, so Vol fans who are also parents of little ones are probably pretty happy about that. There will be only a bye week in 2026 because the season starts in September, whereas the previous two seasons would have resulted in multiple bye weeks.

The Vols have a tricky final quarter of the season as they travel to Texas A&M, then welcome Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers to town before ending the year at Vanderbilt.

So, there you have it. What do you think of the layout?
