Scottie Scheffler will debut at American Express in California in 2026, according to multiple reports. There are only two weeks until the event begins.
The world No. 1, reigning PGA champion and annual Open winner is actually committed to the American Express and WM Phoenix Open. It feels like a long time ago, but it was four years ago in Arizona when Scottie won for the first time and everything in golf as we knew it changed.

While this is the start of Scheffler’s season, the entire PGA Tour season will begin a week before he tees off. The Sony Open in Hawaii kicks off the season next week, followed by the American Express Open. The Torrey Pines Farmers Insurance Open is located between Torrey Pines and Waste Management, so Scotty seems to have his schedule figured out early in the season.
We’ve been asking him how he can reach the top every year since he won the WM title in 2022, but Scotty always finds a way. What might happen in 2026?
We’ll find out in two weeks.
