Minnesota Vikings veteran safety Harrison Smith turned things around in Week 17 as he helped his team beat the Lions on Christmas Day. The team won four straight in the process and improved its season record to .500 with an 8-8 record.
However, the honors and excitement don’t stop there as we are now looking at the NFL Players of the Week and Harrison Smith has been named one of them.

Smith was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance on Christmas Day. He finished with three tackles, two tackles for loss, three tackles for loss, one sack and one interception. After receiving the award, he is also the oldest player to win Player of the Week honors in the NFL and the fourth Vikings player to win this honor this year.
He joins Isaiah Rodgers, Levi Drake Rodriguez and JJ McCarthy, who won Player of the Week honors in 2025.
