ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Forward Ryan Poehling has agreed to a four-year, $15 million contract extension in his first season with the Anaheim Ducks.
The Ducks announced the deal Thursday for Pauline (PAY-ling), who has seven goals and 17 assists in 54 games while serving as a top penalty killer and defensive forward.

Last June, Anaheim acquired Pauline and a second-round pick from the Philadelphia Flyers in the trade for center Trevor Zegras.
While general manager Pat Verbeek’s decision to move on from fan-favorite former first-round pick Zegras remains unpopular with many Anaheim fans, the disappointment has been mitigated somewhat by Pauline’s performance in a key depth role for the second-place Ducks, who are in contention for their first playoff berth since 2018.
The Ducks are the fourth NHL team for the 27-year-old Pauline, a first-round pick out of the University of Montreal in 2017. He played one season in Pittsburgh before joining Philadelphia as a free agent in 2023, where he set career highs with 12 goals and 19 assists last season.
Pollin, now signed with Anaheim through the 2029-30 season, will receive a raise on his current two-year, $3.8 million contract.
