Roma initially started Celik on the right wing in a 3-4-2-1 formation, but were forced to make a change at the last minute.
He felt a stabbing pain in his thigh during warm-ups and was replaced by Devyne Rensch before kick-off.

Things went from bad to worse for coach Gian Piero Gasperini, with Hermoso limping off after just 22 minutes of the game.

The defender received treatment on his right hip before the medical staff signaled a substitution and was replaced by Daniel Girardi.

How serious these setbacks are now remains to be seen, as Roma face Stuttgart in the Europa League on Thursday before a Serie A showdown with second-placed Milan next Sunday.
There was at least some positive news for Gasperini, with Lorenzo Pellegrini back after a month’s absence and Donyell Malen scoring on his debut.
