He first achieved this at the age of 2 years and 261 days when he became the youngest person to land two balls in different pockets with a single stroke of the club, known as a snooker double pot, GWR said in a statement on Tuesday.

The following month, Jude set the record for the youngest pool shot – GWR says the cue ball hits another ball off one or more tracks and then pockets it. 2 years and 302 days old.

The organization said this makes him the youngest person ever to complete both trick shots and one of the youngest double record holders in Guinness World Records history. “It’s very special to see someone as young as Jude display such skill, enthusiasm and determination,” said Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Grundy.

Jude wasn’t tall enough to stand on the ground for the shot, he had to climb onto a stool first. Videos online show him leaning over a table or wearing a vest and tie, deftly writing his clubs in chalk.

“There are a lot of snooker stars who are young, but I don’t think it’s ever been this young,” Jude’s mother, Sinead Owens, said in a phone interview Wednesday.

She said Jude’s father, Luke, was a huge fan of snooker – a sport similar to billiards and also played on a pool table that was popular in the UK.

Jude started playing when he was just two years old, when he got a miniature table as a Christmas present. Despite having to use half a club, he quickly showed skill.

“He didn’t know the rules or anything,” Sinead said, adding, “Start with trick shots and go from there.”

His family created a TikTok page for him, which has amassed a large following, including thousands on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. It also led to participation in the World Snooker Tour UK Championship and a sponsorship deal.

Sinead said the GWR certificate hangs at home, but her son is not fazed by his talent. He also enjoys playing golf and watching local football team Manchester United, and recently received a dart board as a Christmas present.

“We usually only play once a week at the weekend,” she said, referring to his snooker routine. “We don’t want to push this on him.”

“Because he’s so young right now, it’s more of a hobby. He doesn’t have any pressure or anything to play with.”

Speaking to GWR, Jude’s father Luke described the two world records as “peak moments” and said he hoped his son would surpass his abilities in the near future.

“He hasn’t beaten me in snooker at the moment,” he said, “but I think he will beat me easily in the next few years.”
