Rey Mysterio reportedly suffered an injury while facing Austin Theory in a singles match during WWE Raw.
Following last week’s six-man tag team match between Mysterio, Penta, Lee Lee and Theory, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed, Adam Pearce booked a singles rematch between Mysterio and Theory; Pearce came out and Paul attempted to use brass knuckles, allowing Mysterio to grab them and hit Theory.

Theory eventually won, and with Vision’s interference, Penta and Lee ran out to meet them, and the ensuing melee allowed him to stomp Mysterio, successfully knocking them out. After the match, The Vision attacked the wrestlers and Braun Breaker appeared to prepare a spear for Mysterio. The camera quickly cuts away from that moment, with Penta being the one to catch it when the spear does happen, and the subsequent tsunami from Reed.
Cory Hays of BodySlam reported afterward that Mysterio suffered a legitimate injury during the match and was carried to the back by medical personnel.
Mysterio was scheduled to compete in Saturday’s Royal Rumble, but due to an injury, it has yet to be determined whether he will be cleared or removed from the match.
