Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem will have a story expansion. Game director Koshi Nakanishi announced on Tuesday that an expansion pack for the survival-horror action game is in development. Capcom didn’t reveal a release date for the story expansion, but confirmed that the DLC will take “some time.”
Resident Evil Requiem DLC confirmed
Nakanishi announced the news in a video message shared on Resident Evil and Capcom’s social media channels on Tuesday. Capcom plans to add more content to Resident Evil Requiem, including a highly anticipated photo mode, the game director said. Nakanishi also confirmed that the company plans to add a mini-game to Requiem in May.
Nakanishi then teased some scenes from Resident Evil Requiem by looking through photos, teasing different possible versions of the joke in the game, before confirming that a story expansion is in the works.
“We are planning to produce additional story content! In this story, we will explore the world of Requiem more deeply. We are working hard now. This will take some time, so we ask for your patience and hope that you will look forward to it. Thank you again for your support,” he said.
Nakanishi also thanked fans for playing Resident Evil Requiem and said Capcom will continue to support the game.
“On behalf of the development team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude. Thank you very much! We released an update the other day to fix various issues, and we will continue to address any additional bugs and performance issues,” Nakanishi said. “We hope to continue supporting Resident Evil Requiem to live up to its positive reception,” he added.
Resident Evil Requiem launches on PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27th. The survival horror game has become a major commercial success for Capcom. Capcom confirmed that “Requiem” sold more than 5 million copies within days of release. It also became the highest-rated game of all time on Metacritic.
