An Indianapolis Colts defensive coach will reportedly join the Arizona Cardinals coaching staff.
Arizona is “expected” to hire Colts defensive quality control coach Brent Jackson for an assistant defensive backs coach-type role, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

Jackson has spent the past four seasons with the Colts. Prior to that, he coached in college, including faculty positions at Oregon State and Auburn University.
It was also recently reported that Sean Steichen made two additions to the defensive coaching staff, hiring Jeremy Bruce and Dillon Doyle as defensive quality control coaches — the same role Jackson held.
Perhaps these additions were made in anticipation of Jackson’s higher chances elsewhere.
The Colts’ 2025 defense ranks 21st in scoring and 23rd in yards allowed per game, especially late in the season.

Addressing the defensive issues this offseason appears to be a top priority for general manager Chris Ballard.
