During her resignation from Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on screen to provide input on the arrest of Don Lemon.
on friday’s show Live interaction with Bill MaherOn Thursday, the politician said “I fully support his arrest” after Lemon was indicted for his coverage of an anti-ICE protest at a Minneapolis church earlier this month.

“Well, I would say he violated the FACE Act,” she told Maher. “He walked into a church, disrupted their worship, and then, in a later interview, compared them to white supremacists. This is not news, this is activism.”
Green added, “So, I don’t think this is news. This is not the First Amendment, coming in and harassing people at Midtown Church. Don Lemon came to my office with the ‘Tesla Crackdown’ organizers and we had to call the Capitol Police.”
Panelist Joe Scarborough argued that “there’s no doubt this is an effort to scare other reporters, to scare other reporters” from reporting on ICE’s ongoing violence in public.

“Well, I think disrupting the church is nonsense,” Green said. “I don’t think Christians should be harassed in churches, especially activists and journalists.”
Lemon was released on cashless bail on Friday and later thanked everyone outside the Los Angeles courthouse for their support.
“I’ve been covering news my entire career. I’m not going to stop now,” Lemon said. “Indeed, there has never been a more important time for a free and independent press to expose the truth and hold those in power accountable.”
