Ravens fear ookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan suffered a torn ACL in win over Bengals

Teddye Buchanan The talented linebacker was benched during the Ravens’ Week 15 game against the Bengals at Paycor Stadium, potentially ending his rookie season. Buchanan was forced out, and Ravens brass feared he would suffer a season-ending ACL tear.

A fourth-round pick, Buchanan injured his right knee while defending a punt in the first quarter and was sent to the locker room. He left the stadium on crutches.

Buchanan will become the second defensive starter Baltimore has lost this season, joining Pro Bowl defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, who suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 2.

Buchanan had 91 tackles during the regular season, including one forced fumble and one pass defensed. With Buchanan out, Trenton Simpson will step into the starting lineup.
