Ravens fans have very fond memories of Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald. Many expected him to succeed John Harbaugh as Baltimore’s head coach before he was poached by Seattle.
These fans have less fond memories of the Patriots’ playoff dominance during the Brady/Belichick era. So it’s no surprise that Ravens fans overwhelmingly picked the Seahawks to beat the Patriots in Super Bowl X:
There’s every reason to believe in McDonald and Co., who are currently 4.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel. Their defense has been dominant all year and Sam Darnold has been outstanding in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, the Patriots barely defeated the Broncos-less Broncos in the AFC Championship Game. Neither team was able to generate much offense due to the weather, but it’s easy to imagine Denver winning if the Knicks were healthy. New England’s defense is still the best in the league, but Derek Meyer will face a tough test against an elite defense.
Ravens fans also expressed their approval of the team’s new coordinators Declan Doyle and Anthony Weaver:
91% of fans gave Baltimore’s coordinator a grade of B or better. Doyle is a young, exciting offensive mind who has since been surrounded by veteran assistants, while Weaver brings experience and familiarity with the Ravens’ ways to help with the transition to a new coaching staff.
