All three candidates have experience coordinating NFL offenses.

Jets Wire ranked them from best to worst.

Greg Roman

Greg Roman spent his first two seasons coordinating the Los Angeles Chargers offense under Jim Harbaugh. He played under John Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens and played a key role in Lamar Jackson’s development. Roman hasn’t been able to get the most out of Justin Herbert in Los Angeles, but his record is better than others.

Frank Reich

Frank Reich will most likely become Aaron Glenn’s coordinator and game caller. Reich was quite successful as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts (2018-22), but his follow-up with the Carolina Panthers was disastrous. A decision is likely to be made this week.

Darrell Bevell

Darrell Bevell was Pete Carroll’s longtime offensive coordinator with the Seattle Seahawks. Since then, his reputation has deteriorated. Bevell became the Detroit Lions’ interim head coach after Matt Patricia was fired midseason and coordinated a poor Detroit Lions offense in 2020, doing the same thing with Urban Meyer in Jacksonville in 2021.
