The Los Angeles Rams officially arrived in freezing Chicago to take on the Bears on Sunday, and the team bus was met with some interesting trash talk upon arrival.

Sunday night’s conference playoff game at Soldier Field is expected to bring single-digit temperatures, snow and wind gusts in excess of 10 mph, a stark contrast to California’s mild weather.

According to WGN-TV, local businesses organized a weather-themed testing event before the game. Chicago advertising agency Schafer Condon Carter (SCC) partnered with Old National Bank to quickly update the bank’s billboards along the JFK Expressway with messages locals can understand:
“Hey Los Angeles, we dare you to lick the goalposts. Welcome to Chicago.”

The billboard is just one example of how the city is embracing postseason excitement.

On Thursday, WGN-TV captured the Merchandise Mart lighting up the Bears logo while Willis Tower’s antenna glowed blue and orange. Caleb Williams ice sculptures are also on display outside the Merchandise Market throughout the day.
Fans are hoping more hype and support can propel the Bears to another win on Sunday, earning them a spot in the NFC Championship Game. But the Rams aimed to spoil the party.
