Puka Nacua’s bizarre week ended with him going crazy at the net after the NFL’s best game of the year.
About two minutes after the Seattle Seahawks came from behind to defeat Nacua’s Los Angeles Rams to take control of the NFC West, the star wide receiver took to Twitter to complain about the game’s officiating. The post was deleted within minutes.

“Can you tell me I’m wrong? Thanks for your contribution. Haha,” Nacua wrote.

Nacua was listed immediately after a career game against the Seahawks, finishing with 12 receptions, 225 yards and two touchdowns on 12 targets, continuing the third-year player’s breakout season. He later told reporters that this was an exciting moment for him:
“It’s just a lack of awareness. It’s just frustration.”
Head coach Sean McVay, who was also unaware of the tweet when speaking to reporters, declined to respond directly to the tweet but defended Nakua, saying he is “a great kid who is continuing to learn about the platform he has.”
The tweet was apparently referring to past comments from officials and Nacua himself, which have been part of what has been an eventful week for the 24-year-old. On Tuesday’s broadcast, Nacua launched into a blistering attack on the referees that will almost certainly get him fined by the NFL:
“The referees are the worst,” Nakua said. “… Some of the rules are not… these guys want to be… these guys are lawyers. They want to be on TV, too. You don’t think he’s texting his friends in a group chat, like, ‘Yo, you guys just saw me on ‘Sunday Night Football.’ That’s not a PI, but I call it that.'”
This tweet doesn’t help matters.

Overall, here’s how Nacua has fared over the past few weeks:
That’s not what you’d call an ideal performance for a player who might seek a long-term, high-priced extension from the Rams this offseason. However, his contribution on Thursday also showed how much the team needs him on the field.
