The lottery craze continues—just in time for the holidays! Powerball jackpots hit $1 billion, and five Florida lottery tickets were recently lucky in less than a month’s drawing.

On Saturday, December 13, no one matched all five numbers plus Powerball, which drew $1 billion, and on Monday, December 15, the jackpot jumped to $1.1 billion. According to Powerball Online, if a jackpot winner chooses cash, the one-time prize would be $503.4 million.
The jackpot is the sixth-largest Powerball jackpot ever.
The winning numbers for Monday, December 14, were 23-35-59-63-68 in Powerball and 2 in Powerball. Power bet is 4x. We’ll see if there’s a billion dollar lottery winner during Hanukkah or before Christmas, or a bigger jackpot.
In case you were wondering, the winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, December 13th were 1-28-31-57-58 and the Powerball number was 16. Power bet numbers are 2x. Although there was no winner on Saturday, several other tickets were lucky. The player from Florida is one of five players (California, Michigan, New Jersey and Virginia) who will match five for a $1 million prize. Two lucky tickets, one from North Carolina and one from Pennsylvania, matched 5 plus the Power Play prize of $2 million.

On Monday, December 8, the Powerball numbers were 8-32-52-56-64 and the Powerball number was 23. Power bet is 2x. While those numbers yielded another jackpot, there’s good news for local Powerball players: The only second-place prize in Monday’s Powerball drawing came from Florida. The ticket for the $1 million prize was purchased at a 7-Eleven at 3991 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, Florida, part of the Treasure Coast.
The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, December 6 were 13-14-26-28-44 and the Powerball number was 7. Power bet numbers are 2x. While those numbers didn’t win the jackpot, it wasn’t all bad news: One ticket purchased in Florida and two tickets purchased in Georgia and Texas matched five numbers to win the $1 million prize. Even luckier, a ticket purchased in New Jersey matched 5 tickets and Power Play to win the $2 million prize. For the Wednesday, December 3 Powerball drawing – the winning numbers were 1-14-20-46-51 and Powerball 26, Power Play 3x – there were three big winners in the Powerball drawing. One Florida and one California ticket matched 5 each for a $1 million prize. Even luckier, a ticket purchased in Kentucky matched the 5 plus Power Play prize, resulting in a $2 million prize. Finally, the 2025 Thanksgiving holiday weekend Powerball drawing on Saturday, November 29th matched 5 numbers and won $1 million. The winning numbers for this Quick Ballot are 19-22-30-32-59 and the Powerball is 1. Power Play is 2. Express ballots are purchased from Thorntons (425 E. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, Florida).
Two tickets from Fredericksburg, Texas and St. Louis, Missouri won the $1.787 billion Powerball drawing on September 6, and the current jackpot has rolled over 40 times since it reset to $20 million on September 8.

Powerball drawings are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays (including holidays) at 11pm ET. Whether the jackpot is $20 million or $2 billion, players have a 1 in 292.2 million chance of matching all six numbers, according to Powerball.com. Prizes range in value from $2 to the grand jackpot.

What are the odds? Florida Lottery game draws have consecutive numbers: 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9
Florida Lottery prizes must be claimed within 180 days (six months) of the drawing date. To claim the single payment cash option, winners may claim within the first 60 days of the applicable drawing date.
The Florida Lottery said its scratch-off and Fast Play game prizes “must be claimed within 60 days of the official game end date. Once the applicable time period has passed, the associated Florida Lottery will expire.”
Can Florida lottery winners remain anonymous?
According to the Florida Lottery website, winners cannot remain anonymous: “Florida law requires the Florida Lottery to provide records containing information such as the winner’s name, city of residence, winning game, date of the win and prize amount to any third party that requests the information.”
However, the website notes that “the names of lottery winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or more will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date of claim, unless the winner is otherwise exempt.”
