MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Mesa County Crime Stoppers is asking for community assistance in identifying and locating the suspect involved in a vandalism incident at the Mesa County Library located at 433 North 6th Street.

At approximately 1:30 pm on Wednesday, December 17, the suspect, an unidentified female, entered the library restroom carrying several books. As she left, surveillance cameras captured her throwing the book into a library trash can.
The books, which all focus on transgender themes, were found by library staff to have several pages torn out and discarded.
The suspect is described as a white female, 70 to 80 years old, wearing a white shirt. She was wearing a red plaid shirt, a red vest, blue jeans and a red plaid jacket.
