A Pittsburgh man who has been on the run for five months is back in police custody after being found hiding under his bed.
The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office said 31-year-old Travell Dean was declared a fugitive back in September when he failed to appear in court on gun charges.
A second warrant was issued for his arrest two months later, when he was not formally arraigned in another case involving gun charges.

The Sheriff’s Office said Dean also received an escape charge because he did not return to a community corrections facility after receiving permission to meet with an attorney.
Sheriff’s Office detectives learned last week that Dean was at an apartment on Cursin Street in McKeesport. Detectives went to the apartment on Saturday and eventually found Dean hiding under the bed.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
