PFF: Rising linebacker was Chiefs’ highest graded player in Week 16

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their ninth loss of the season on Sunday, losing 26-9 to the Tennessee Titans.

The Chiefs’ offense continues to struggle as the season winds down, made worse by the loss of second-string quarterback Gardner Minshew on the third play of Sunday’s game. Former practice squad quarterback Chris Oladokun made a valiant attempt to lead Kansas City to victory, but ultimately failed.

Despite giving up 26 points, the Chiefs defense performed surprisingly well against the Titans. Linebacker Jack Cochrane had a breakout game, and his efforts were appropriately recognized by Pro Football Focus.

PFF’s experts gave Cochrane a grade of 74.4, topping the Kansas City player rankings for Week 16.

Cochran has been primarily a role player during his time in Kansas City, but the budding linebacker is more than capable of stepping up when needed.

The former South Dakota Coyote should get more playing time this week as the Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day.
