Penta Appears on “WWE Raw” – WWE
Penta won his first singles championship since joining WWE when he defeated Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship on “WWE Raw” last Monday. Penta will likely go into WrestleMania with a gold medal and one of the company’s most reliable future singles competitors, but that hasn’t stopped him from wanting to team up with his real-life brother, “WWE SmackDown” star Rey Fenix.

During an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Penta revealed his desire for the Lucha brothers to reunite and named his dream opponent for himself and Fenix. The new Intercontinental Champion also outlined who he sees as the first challengers to the title in the near future.
“One of my dream matches in WWE would be like The Usos versus the Luka brothers… I saw my brother in Chicago last week at Elimination Chamber and we were talking about it, like, ‘Hey, bro, what do you think, bro? What’s the best deal for us?’ We agreed. Let’s do it. But I don’t know. I don’t know when, I don’t know how long. But I’m sure we’re going to happen,” he explained. “But now I stay focused and defend this beautiful title no matter what. It could be America No. 1, America No. 2, America No. 3, whatever America we have. I don’t know how much America we have in WWE right now. It doesn’t matter, you know what? Even if stupid Dom wants a rematch, I’m ready for it.”
At last year’s WrestleMania, Penta challenged for the Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match, but failed to win. However, heading into WrestleMania 42, it was uncertain whether Penta would continue with his plans with Mysterio or if he would face a different challenger from “Raw.”
