Former New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison criticized the Baltimore Ravens’ use of running back Derrick Henry after Sunday night’s game.
In addition to the fumble, Henry had a strong performance against the Patriots, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. He’s averaging 7.1 yards per carry in this game, and the Patriots’ defense can’t seem to slow him down.

That’s why it’s so surprising to see the Ravens stay away from Henry running the ball. Instead of relying on an All-Pro running back late in games, the Ravens relied on Keaton Mitchell.
Harrison clearly disagreed with the Ravens’ decision late in the game.
“How come there’s no Derrick Henry on the court in the second half?” Harrison asked after the game. “This is a guy the Patriots don’t want to deal with…I absolutely hate the Ravens’ offensive scheme at times…if I were the coach [John] Harbaugh and I caught Derrick Henry, why did you save him? Do you keep him until next year? “
The Ravens’ decision not to draft Henry down the stretch was certainly a puzzling one. This decision could cost them a playoff spot.
