Patriots fans celebrate first playoff win in years as team awaits next opponent

The New England Patriots are in incredible shape. Just a year ago, they finished last in the conference with a 4-13 record.

The Brady championship days seem like a distant memory.

But now, the Patriots’ momentum seems to be back, as the team won its first playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers and went 14-3 in the regular season.

At Patriot Plaza, fans celebrated the team’s victory, and happy days are here again.

“Oh my gosh, we’re going to do it again, we’re going to go to the Super Bowl again,” said fan Jackie Gottwald.

The NFL playoffs are where heroes are born, and in New England, Meyer seems to have become a legend.

“Oh, I knew he was going to be [this good]I think he’s going to get better,” said fan Alex Cochran.

The Patriots await their next opponent, the Pittsburgh Steelers or Houston Texans, but in the meantime, Patriots fans continue to celebrate an already magical season.

“I predict the Patriots will play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl this year in San Francisco. The Patriots will win and Derek Meyer will be the Super Bowl MVP,” said fan Brian Avery.
