Passenger Simon Berneblad Mandegård reportedly described the incident as “a very dramatic moment.” daily mail.
“We were taxiing like normal, lined up, and suddenly started accelerating like a normal takeoff, but after gaining quite a bit of speed, it was clear something was wrong,” he recalled. “The pilot suddenly slammed on the brakes so hard that the entire cabin immediately felt the force.”
“We made sharp maneuvers to keep the aircraft on the paved ground and you could feel how close we were to running out of space,” he added. “Thankfully everyone was safe, but it was definitely one of the most stressful situations I’ve ever experienced on an airplane.”

According to Aerospace Global News, operations at Brussels Airport continued normally following the incident.
A spokesperson for Scandinavian Airlines told Air Live that the airline is cooperating fully with Belgian aviation authorities to determine how the incident occurred, noting that they plan to conduct an “internal investigation” into the issue.
“Safety is our absolute priority,” the airline told Air Live in a statement. “We are currently conducting a thorough internal investigation with local authorities to understand the sequence of events.”
