Bundy announced the arrest earlier Friday, writing: “At my direction, early this morning, federal agents arrested Don Lemon. Trayvon Gene CruiseFort Georgia and Jamel Leder Lundyin connection with a coordinated attack on a city church in St. Paul, Minnesota. “
“More details will be available soon,” Bundy added before releasing the video.
“There is no doubt that under President Trump and this administration, you have the right to worship freely and safely,” Bondi said in the recording. “If I haven’t made it clear enough, if you violate this sacred right, we will come after you.”
The White House celebrated Lemon’s arrest, writing: “When life gives you lemons…” along with a silver chain emoji. The post also included an image over Lemon’s photo that read “Don Lemon Arrested for Involvement in St. Paul’s Church Riot.”
Democratic lawmakers took to social media to accuse the Trump administration of trampling on constitutionally protected press freedoms.
