High school football schedules for the 2026 season have been announced in states across the country, with Alabama being a hotbed for college graduates and many teams finalizing their fall schedules.
As February approaches and enters the end of the month, another prominent Alabama high school football program has released its 2026 schedule, with last year’s AHSAA Class 7A state finalist Opelika Bulldogs releasing their fall schedule on social media.

Opelika has multiple teams on its roster that will be in the top 25 of Alabama’s Massey Ratings by the end of 2025. Top 25 teams the Bulldogs will face this fall include Auburn, Benjamin Russell, Hoover and Phoenix Central.
Jonathan Chandler will be entering his first season as Opelika’s head football coach as he was previously the head coach at Montgomery Catholic. Opelika went 10-4 last season and reached the 7A state championship game. former head coach Brian Moore Behind this is a talented 2027 roster in Colby Key and Braiden Howard. Moore led the Bulldogs to a 19-7 record the past two seasons and led Opelika to the Class 7A state championship game, losing to national power Thompson 48-10.
