OxygenOS 16 public beta testing: qualified models, standards

OnePlus said in a community post that its OxygenOS 16 open beta test allows OnePlus users to submit feedback to fine-tune system performance, eliminate bugs and share new ideas for features before the stable version is rolled out. Announced for the following phones:

  1. one plus 13
  2. one plus 13s
  3. OnePlus 13R
  4. one plus 12

Before joining the OxygenOS 16 Open Beta testing, users need to check the eligibility criteria and ensure that their OnePlus phone has the latest qualifying software version installed. The update process can also involve temporary effects such as device heating, lag, and higher-than-usual power consumption. According to OnePlus, this is due to a series of background optimizations performed by the operating system. The company recommends users to restart the phone after charging it for two hours with the screen turned off to allow the system to return to normal.
