“My decision to go to Notre Dame was easy because of the people here,” Love said in an Instagram Story. “From the amazing football support staff to my classmates – I couldn’t have asked for a better place for me to grow into the person I am today.

“With great gratitude, I will take the many experiences Notre Dame has given me and apply those lessons as I move on to the next level. I look forward to representing my family and the University of Notre Dame in the NFL.”

Love rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns this season while catching 27 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns. He became Notre Dame’s first recipient of the Doc Walker Award, which is given annually to college football’s top running back.

His junior season was over as Notre Dame (10-2) failed to make the College Football Playoff and then opted not to play in a bowl game.
