SEOUL, March 1 (Reuters) – North Korea’s foreign ministry spokesman said in a statement that Israeli attacks on Iran and U.S. military operations were “illegal aggression” and violated national sovereignty, state-run Korean Central News Agency reported on Sunday.
The spokesman said U.S. military action against Iran was “within the expected range” and said it was an inevitable outcome given the U.S.’s “hegemonic and rogue nature.”
The statement stated that the “war of aggression” between the United States and Israel is unacceptable under any circumstances.

Regional countries and parties with common interests should shoulder the responsibility of restoring peace and stability in the Middle East.
The Israeli military said on Sunday it had launched widespread strikes in central Tehran after its air force carried out a massive operation that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, raising concerns about widespread instability in the Middle East.
