NOPD searches for suspects connected to alleged gold chain snatching in French Quarter

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects accused of a property robbery in the French Quarter.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, in the 400 block of Bourbon Street. According to NOPD, a woman danced with the victim, “approached and distracted the victim,” and then removed a gold chain from around the victim’s neck.

When the chain fell to the ground, the male suspect picked it up. The two suspects then fled the scene.
