president Donald Trump Release to “rotten apple” representatives. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) The morning after she sat down with CBS 60 minutesagain accusing the outgoing congresswoman of being a “traitor” while tearing into pieces the network’s new owner, Paramount, for allowing the interview to air.
In a tirade in The Truth Society, the president called Greene “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown,” claimed she was “dumped,” and ranted that she had “very bad” ideas.
But his criticism extends perhaps more strikingly to the network and its new owners. He demanded a “complete apology” from the other party 60 minutes and host Leslie Starrcomplained that Paramount was “no better than the old ownership,” and fumed, “60 Minutes has actually gotten worse since they bought it!”
The president wrote:
The only reason Marjorie “Traitor” Brown (green turns brown under stress!) turns evil is because she was abandoned by the President of the United States (certainly not the first time she’s been abandoned!). Too much work, not enough time and her ideas are really bad right now – she reminds me of a rotten apple! Marjorie is not “America First” or “Make America Great Again” because no one can change her views that quickly and her new views are those of a very stupid person. This was proven last night, Trump hates, 60 minutes “Journalist” Lesley Stahl still owes me an apology for attacking me on the show (with serious conviction!), Hunter Biden’s “The Hell Notebook” was produced by Russia, not Hunter himself (totally proven wrong!), and features interviews with an ill-prepared traitor who made a number of very stupid statements in her confusion. However, my real problem with this show isn’t the low-IQ traitors, it’s the new ownership 60 minutesParamount allowed such a show to air. They are no better than their old owners, who just paid me millions of dollars to falsely report on your favorite president, me! Since they bought it, 60 minutes It actually got worse! Oh well, worse things could happen. PS: I hereby request that Lesley Stahl and 60 minutes For her inaccurate and defamatory statements about Hunter’s laptop! President DJT
After Greene’s interview with Starr, which aired Sunday, she painted herself as a disillusioned insider ready to leave the “political-industrial complex” she no longer respects.
Greene, once a Trump loyalist, told CBS that Trump’s comments “directly fueled” death threats against her son, including one email claiming a pipe bomb had been planted.
She added that Republicans are “afraid” of defying Trump and fear retaliatory attacks on social media. She claimed that after Trump won the 2024 primary, colleagues privately mocked Trump’s voice and demeanor and then “kicked up to him.”
The Georgia congressman also accused Trump of prioritizing foreign power brokers, including “al Qaeda leaders wanted by the U.S. government” and now governing Syria over domestic needs.
Paramount, meanwhile, is hardly a hostile player in Trumpworld. The company paid him $16 million earlier this year to resolve a dispute over his 2024 contract. 60 minutes Section involving the former Vice President Kamala Harristo help it merge smoothly with Skydance.
Broadcasters also promote Barry Weiss to lead CBS News, a choice seen as reassuring to the Trump camp. Even the decision to regroup rush hour Franchise reportedly launches after Trump pushes to billionaire allies Larry Ellisonwhose son runs Paramount Skydance.
That record and Trump’s latest tirade come just hours after Paramount announced a $104.8 billion hostile takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery Channel on Monday just hours after losing to Netflix on Friday. The deal also faces regulatory hurdles, with Trump saying on Sunday that he would now be “involved” in Warner’s sale.
With the new 60 minutes With the president distraught and once again seeing himself as a dealmaker, Paramount may have some work to do to get him back on his feet.
